i have a dream that one day i can study abroad.

perhaps,i will study in England.

now,some of my friend think it wont be true.

but,i firmly believe a proverb "nothing is impossible to a willing heart"

although my english is not good.

Recently,I have many friends who are going abroad.Regardless for business or studies,many friends choose Europe as their destination. Because the Europe landscape is different in Taiwan which makes me feel jealous when I see the photos from my friends.But I think if I have an opportunity which I can travel ,I will choose Europe to my first choosing.

1. Many migrants from the Middle Asian post Soviet countries come to Russia  to find a better job and social conditions. However, they are often used as a cheap workforce.
2. The lane adjoins the main street of the town, but no one can easily find it if they are not locals. It runs down unnoticeably.
3. The cocktail you made yesterday turned sour. You left it on the terrace.
4. A good deal of the applications turned out to be fake. The police is going to investigate the case.
5. We expected to see a sharp rise in prices for electric cars for several months. Nevertheless, the rise hasn’t happened and car markets demonstrate a moderate price dynamic.
6. We have no grounds to think that mild winters we have had over the last three or four years will stop happening. The global warming has been changing temperatures all over the world.
7. Sergei breathed out and said “The game is over. You won”. We spent the second half of the day outdoors and had a really nice time.
8. You shouldn’t just dabble it in. If you want to speak Turkish well in a year, you surely need to practice the language daily.
9. Waitresses in this restaurant serve hand over fist. You never wait for too long, and it usually takes them 5 minutes to set the table and bring what you ordered.
10. Retirees who sometime ago were the company’s employees have filed a petition to the current CEO. They hope to get some financial compensations for the harm that they believe was caused to them by the manufacture. As the company has recently started some socially oriented programs, the initiative might succeed.
11. To commemorate the dead, every year we got together in the place which more than a hundred years ago was a military field  hospital. Last year the meeting wasn’t held as the Belarusian artist and activist Boris Tzitovich, who made this memorial, died from COVID-19.

     I do believe that the Internet has a beneficial effort on society. Let me elaborate on the three principal reasons that collectively underpin my position.

     First, the Internet has made a lot of new businesses depend on new needs. They are beneficial for both consumers and suppliers. For example, some companies provide amusement content, while others do medical services, security services, monetary services, and so on.

    Second, the Internet and new technologies have given people educational opportunities. These days, you can even get a diploma not by going to school but by staying at home. For older people, there is some site that provides antidementia programs. On the other side, some sites provide early education for babies and children.

     Third and finally, you can save a lot of time when you look for information about what you want to know when you do not have books or resources. Before the Internet, you have to go to a library to look up something you want to know. Noe, you can learn it with a cell phone through the Internet.

    The reasons mentioned above oblige me to reiterate my position which supports the statement that Internet efforts are beneficial to our society.

Dear future host family:  

I present myself, my name is lucrecia Paiva, I am 19 years old and I am currently a psychology student at the national university of Cordoba Argentina. I live with my parents and my young sister, but I also have one other sister and one brother, I am a quiet person and I love spending time with my family and friends, they are the most important for me. I am also a curious person and fond of music and art that are my favorite form of expression.  

During the last year I have been working as a tutor of children in an academic accompaniment institute, and this experience has let me know that in the future I hope to specialize my career in childhood, since I love spending time with children, they are curious and authentic affectionate and unique. 

This program is a beautiful opportunity to be in contact with them, with a new culture, meet people and places without mentioning that it would give me the opportunity to improve my level of English, which today is a very useful tool.  

I hope you find in me the person you need to help you, I would be happy to do it.

To learn a new language, you need to be constantly reading and also speaking in the language you are interested in learning as you can improve your vocabulary and the use of this vocabulary. But, one important skill that any language learners need to know and so often forgotten is writing skill. Most students of a new language underestimate their writing skills, taking them for granted. To have well successfully learned languages is extremely necessary to know how to write in the language you are learning. However, when you need to write something in this new language you immediately start thinking, about how silly you have been until you realize that writing is a fundamental skill that should be built day by day with practice, like any other skill normally considered more difficult to learn than write.
This website is a powerful tool for us that want to improve our fluency, which of course passes through the ability to write correctly.

  I disagree with the statement that education will continue to decrease as technology improves. Let me elaborate on the three reasons that collectively underpin my position.

  First of all, society will be complicated as technology improves. For example, in the past information was exchanged by snail mail, whereas now it is done by fax and email, which require more knowledge to familiarize yourself with them. A couple of decades ago, we used phones only to talk, but these days, we use them not only to speak but also to send text, data files, and photos.

  Secondly, with the development of technology, international competition is increasing yearly. If we give up high education, we will lose the race between global industries. For example, now people in Japan have to use the Internet technology that has been made in the U.S. and is mostly dependent on it. Industries will need more highly educated young workers.

  Finally, throughout the long history of human beings, people are curious to learn and discover new things. In Japan, we had a high education system equivalent to a college about a thousand years ago. At that place, many young men studied old China literature, mathematics, and other advanced education compared to other countries.

   The reasons mentioned above obliged me to reiterate my position which supports the statement that high education will be needed in the future.

Well,my name is Carlo and I like the American culture and I'd like to travel to that country and meet more people from there,I would like to see the statue of liberty and in general see all New York and I wanna visit Los Angeles because is an interesting place where there are many people from differents parts of the world and that's it,I hope that you can correct me guys, have a good day.

Apart from the fact that English is much easier than Spanish, I think the main reason why I’m not as proficient in the latter as in the former is that I actually have very little interest in Spanish or Hispano-American culture. It is just that, when it came time for me to learn a second foreign language, I had to choose between Spanish and German and I picked the language of Cervantes, as it is spoken in way more countries and seemed more useful to me at the time.

I may listen to some salsa every now and then (Héctor Lavoe, Rubén Blades,  ..), but I mostly listen to American music, especially rap (which has been a huge help as far as English is concerned), my favorite T.V shows and movies are American (e.g. The Wire, The Sopranos, Dirty Harry, Die Hard) and so are my favorite comics, mostly Marvel. Although not American, some of my favorite novels were written in English (e.g. The picture of Dorian Gray).

Based on my experience, one of the first questions I ask people who want to learn French is if they have any interest whatsoever in French culture (literature, cinema, music, etc.).

Two years ago, during the first lockdown, I decided to improve my Spanish so I decided to watch more movies in that language. Despite my strong prejudice against them, I also tried watching a couple of telenovelas, and I must admit I found some of them pretty good. I also listen to much more Hispano-American music (e.g. vallenato, rancheras) in addition to Spanish-speaking rappers (e.g. Marichal).

Apart from that, what I do a lot these days is watch American movies and TV shows... dubbed into Spanish! It's quite fun :) 

Recently, there has been a cold wave in our country. Many foreigners think Taiwan is a warm place,but we also have a cold day actually. Sometimes we have a cold for maybe a week and the temperature is different in each place. In Taipei,if there is a cold wave,the temperature will be under 10 degree celsius. In Tainai the temperature is always warmer than taipei,but it is still colder than other normal Tainan's.
