English

Subject

I was looking for the definition of the “subject” in a syntactic sense. What does it mean the “subject” of a clause? The subject of the clause is not the person who performances the action because that person is the agent and the agent is not always the subject of the clause ─as occurs in the passive constructions.

How should I distinguish "No problem" and "You are welcome"?

Hello every one!
Today, I have a part time job, at that time a foreigner asked me where is the entrance in English.

I told him where there is somehow.

He said Thanks you then I tried to say You're welcome.

But I was not able to say something quickly that because  I know two ways to saying:"No problem" and "You are welcome".

English.

As English has become the most spoken Language in the world, more and more people seek to learn it every day. It has been noted, however, that non-native speakers of English don’t speak it very accurately. There are grammar variations made by them. The most common mistakes are to omit the ‘s’ in the third person singular, to omit the definite and indefinite articles when they are required and put them where standard English does not use them. Some people say that those are not variations, but gross mistakes.
